Essive is often translated as, and it expresses role or capasity.

Essive has the suffix -na. Essive has always strong grade.

Translative expresses becoming or transforming into something.
|
Prinssi muuttui sammakoksi. The prince turned into a frog |
Translative case has the suffix -ksi.
Abessive expresses beeing without something. The suffix is -tta.
|
Hän oli vaatteetta. He was without any clothes. |
Both translative and abessive has same grade stem as genitive. Easiest way to form these cases is to replace the n suffix of the genitive with the -ksi or -tta suffix.
